Week Ten and still growing!

My beard has reached week ten and I have to say that there have definitely been times this week when I have felt that some small furry alien creature has landed on my face and attached itself securely - "help! Get it off!!!!" This is totally officially the longest and the scruffiest my beard has ever been. Nothing is getting trimmed now - not even my neck hair (though it may get the trimmer on it to keep it short) and I'm now letting my hair grow back in.

I feel so proud of it. It feels so much nicer than a short bristly beard, behaves better and IMHO looks better. I always had quite a long sharp face but the beard's making me look more and more like a teddy bear; which is cool as far as I'm concerned; it's especially nice to nuzzle up to Debs with. ;)

It is now getting noticeably longer and has drawn a number of comments - mostly positive.
It does feel quiet scruffy and gets blown by the wind though in pictures and from a distance it looks fine. Although it has been growing now for ten weeks untouched it's still a relatively small beard compared with some I've seen. To keep it neat I've taken to carrying a comb with me. Before when I've allowed my beard to get longer I've always found that the hair under my chin gets very tangled. Although it's still not "descending" and remains a dense wavy mat, I haven't experienced any tangles even after swimming in the sea.
