Radio show

Friday's drive was good again - I so enjoy the show, the two hours whizzes by - it seems like a few moments from when we arrive to packing up and getting back into the car to go home. Each week I get better and more confident - this said, I'm still very nervous when I get to the station. I'm still having to make several rest-room stops! Once I get behind the mike and the show is rolling it's great.

This week I had an interview which went really well! I'd scripted it fairly roughly - this helped. Carol, the integration coordinator at Belgrave Heights Christian School was so natural and her Downes syndrome daughter such a delight that the the half an hour I allowed was easily filled. Carol was very nervous - but she came over very well. David Oates, a presenter on Saturday who listens to my show on Friday on his way home, said the interview was good. David has been enthusiastic with his support. Having this kind of support for the show has been an enormous encouragement!

Once the interview was over, Carol very kindly offered us four tickets to the concert - which I plan to take up. To be honest I was pleased to be able to support and promote the concert and it would be nice to get to know Carol more - she has an amazing testimony. It's a bonus to get the invite.

Interviews were one thing I wasn't sure about doing and now that I've successfully got one under my belt, I don't have any hesitation in seeking out another. - All good fun!
