New beard
I've been growing a new beard and it reached six weeks this morning. I've had beards for seven or eight years and don't think I'd be without one now. I've not trimmed or shaved any part of it except my lower neck and my tashe for the whole six weeks and the feel of it is completely different than before. It has astonished me the way that it has grown! The annoying tuft I get under my chin is there but hardly noticeable and this last week it has gone very soft and silky.I've decided to let it grow another six weeks untamed and then have it shaped by a barber. My aim not to have the bristly beard that is common-place these days, but have something a little smoother and perhaps a little more "baroque". You know what they say, if it aint' baroque don't fix it!
The difficulty in going for another six weeks is getting through the scruffy stage, which it is at right now! It doesn't look it, but the hair is now about 3/4" to an inch long and as it grows in all sorts of directions it doesn't necessarily all sit neatly especially about an hour or two after washing - it goes "bufff*+%@#" and sticks out everywhere! I suppose the answer is don't wash - well perhaps not.
I don't think I've enjoyed growing a beard as much as this one ever.
