Hitting my targets

It's still a rather hit and miss affair - but I find that I'm hitting more targets than I'm missing at the moment. I hit my sales target last month and it looks as if I'm soon going to hit my weight target and this month's sales target. All of which is excellent for a guy who found it hard to hit any targets.

"A man's heart plans his way, but Jehovah directs his steps" Prov 16:9

I guess spending more time in prayer when you're making plans makes it easier for God to fulfill your plans. Another great verse in this context is:

"May He grant you according to your own heart, and fulfill all your plans" Psalm 20:4

I suppose that there is something about having a plan in the first place in order to be able to hit the target. In the past I've not been too bad at making plans - it's sticking to them that has been the real problem. It's often been the case that I make a plan and then immediately after the plan gets broken.
